TERMS
Terms of use
Version 1, in force from 6 October 2026. Plain words on purpose: if anything here is unclear, ask us (Contact, at the end).
Who we are
Punksville is a community site around three Ethereum collections: V3 Punks, V3 Artifacts and SpiritsOfPunksville. It was started in 2022 and is run by its operators, who answer at the contact below. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Larva Labs or Yuga Labs. We do not own, run or control any of the three contracts.
Using Punksville
- Browsing is free and needs no wallet.
- Connecting a wallet never signs anything. Signing in is a separate signature that only proves the wallet is yours. It moves nothing and costs nothing.
- We will never ask for your seed phrase or your private keys. Nobody from Punksville will. Anyone who asks is not us.
- Things you do on the chain (a mint, a consume) are calls from your own wallet straight to contracts we do not control. Check every address yourself before you sign, as the site's Security notes say.
- You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to connect a wallet, sign in or chat.
Points, boxes, stamps and titles
Points, daily boxes, stamps, honours, titles, catches and the other things you collect in town exist only inside Punksville. They have no money value, they are never sold, and they cannot be bought: they are exchanged in town for other things in town. We may correct them when something went wrong, such as a bug, a mistake on our side or abuse of the rules below, and we will say so when we do.
Nothing here is financial advice
Punksville shows what is on the chain and the town built around it. Nothing on the site is an offer, an investment or advice to buy, sell or hold anything.
Chat on the street
Signed-in holders walking a Punk can say short lines, shown as a bubble over their Punk for a few seconds. Lines are never stored, unless someone reports one (What we keep, below). Swearing is fine. Keep it friendly.
Not allowed on the street:
- links, wallet addresses, contact details, or anything that tries to move people off the street;
- asking for seed phrases, keys or signatures; scams, fake giveaways, or pretending to be the operators or anyone else;
- hate, slurs, harassment, threats, or encouraging anyone to hurt themselves;
- sexual content of any kind. Anything sexual involving a minor is reported to the police;
- sharing anyone's personal details;
- anything illegal, including offering illegal goods or services;
- spam, flooding, or repeated promotion of tokens or listings;
- getting around the filter, a mute or a ban, for example with another wallet.
How moderation works
- The filter. Every line is checked automatically before anyone sees it: for links, wallet addresses, contact details, requests for keys, words that mix two alphabets, threats and slurs. A refused line is never shown, and you are told which kind of thing it was (not how it was found). The filter only refuses lines. It never mutes, bans or decides anything about you.
- Limits. Lines have a pace: a few at once, then one every few seconds, and the same line said again within 10 seconds counts as a repeat. Chat may rest for everyone for a while when the town is very busy or something is wrong. The street keeps working.
- Reports. Anyone who hears a line can report it with REPORT LINE. Anyone, with or without a wallet, can also tell us about illegal content on Punksville at the contact below: say what it was, where and when.
- People decide. Every report is read by an operator. Nothing automatic acts on a wallet. An operator may dismiss the report, mute the wallet from chat for 24 hours, or ban the wallet from chat.
- You are told why. A muted or banned wallet sees a statement on screen: what was decided, why, which rule, until when, and how to ask for a review. It can still walk, emote and read the street.
- Danger. If a line suggests a threat to someone's life or safety, we tell the police, as the law requires.
- Your own mute. MUTE on a Punk's card hides their lines on your screen only. Nobody is told.
Asking for a review
If your wallet was muted or banned and you think we got it wrong, write to us at the contact below within 6 months of the decision, or at any time while a ban stands, from or naming that wallet. An operator looks at the case again and answers you in plain words. If we were wrong, we lift it and say so. You can also use any out-of-court body or court that the law gives you.
What we keep
- Lines nobody reported: never their words. For 15 minutes after a line is said we keep a sealed fingerprint of it (not the words), with the wallet, the street and the time, so a report of it can be checked. Then it is deleted. The pace of chat also keeps, for each wallet, the sealed fingerprint of its last line (not the words), deleted 15 minutes after that line.
- A reported line: the line, who said it, where and when, the reasons given and who reported it, and then the decision, who made it and the statement sent to the wallet. We keep this for 6 months after the decision (a case nobody has decided yet, 6 months after its last report), then delete it.
- A mute or a ban: its record. A mute, for 6 months after it ends; a ban, while it stands and for 6 months after it ends.
- Bug reports: what you write, where in the town you say it happened, the page, the site's build, your screen size and browser, whether you were in the demo, your wallet if you are signed in, what had failed if you sent it from a Report this, and the picture of the town with its moment only if you tick the box. We keep a report until an operator closes it and for 180 days after, then delete it.
- Messages to the operators: what you write, the way to answer you if you leave one, and your wallet if you are signed in. We keep a message until we have answered it and for one year after, then delete it.
- Copies: the operators may export a moderation case, a bug report or a message and keep a copy of it where they need it, for example to answer a review or a legal request.
Wallet addresses are personal data. The Privacy notice says more, and how to ask us about your data.
What you post
What you write stays yours. By saying it on the street you let us show it to the people there for the seconds it is up, and keep it as above if it is reported. The art of each Punk, Artifact and Spirit belongs to its holders and creators. The town's own art and code belong to Punksville.
The site itself
Punksville is free and offered as it is. Features may change, rest or stop, and the site may be down at times. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses from using it, from your wallet or from contracts we do not control. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer where you live.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms in a way that matters, we say so on this page, with the date and what changed, and on the street, before the change applies. Fixes for safety or the law may apply at once.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of the country where the operators are established, without taking away the protection that the law where you live gives you.
Contact
The operators answer through the contact form first, and on X at @oracleofmemes (https://x.com/oracleofmemes) second. Use either for questions, reports of illegal content and requests for a review. We answer as people, not machines.
